We are a small team. We thought the best photo of your dog or cat should not live only on a phone. So we built a way to turn it into a painting, see it on your wall, and have it framed, in the time it takes to make coffee.

PetPaintings started with a simple frustration. A commissioned portrait takes weeks and hundreds of dollars. The cheap alternatives make your pet look like someone else's. We wanted the middle path.
The way we get there is new, and we are upfront about it. Real artists design every style, and we pay them a royalty on every sale. The painting of your pet is then generated by an image model tuned around one rule: change the paint, never the pet. Eyes, ears, fur pattern, the crooked whisker, and the proportions of the face all stay. The file goes to our print partner, Printful (Prodigi for the Fine-art print and the Luxury canvas), which prints it, frames it, and ships it to you.
We check whether the portrait looks like your pet before it is printed. That is the whole job.

Giclée, not a poster
Pigment inks on archival fine-art paper, the same process galleries use for reproductions. Colors stay put for decades out of direct sun.
Real wood frames
Black, white, or natural wood mouldings with protective glazing and hanging hardware fitted. Unbox it and hang it.
Rendered for print, not for screens
The preview you see is a small draft. After payment the portrait is re-rendered at 4K and sized to your frame at 300 dpi.
Checked before it prints
Each final is compared against your original photo before it goes to the lab. If the likeness drifts, it gets re-done, not shipped.
Free reprint or refund
Arrives damaged, misprinted, or not matching the preview you approved? Email us a photo and we reprint it at no cost or refund you. No forms.
Made to order, so no returns
Every piece is produced for one specific pet, so we cannot take returns once production starts. The guarantee above is how we make that fair.
